When you are designing a guided tour which requires direct action, such as clicking on a specific link or just clicking on a specific UI element in your app – and that click navigates users to a different page on your app (Multi-Page tour), you would have to continue reading this article for steps to build a tour with the above-specified configuration.
Per the attached video, we are going to demonstrate steps to create a Multi-Page Guided tour that does not have 'Next' button.
Creating the Tours
As you can see, we have first created a two-step Guided Tour to start off the tour on the Dashboard of our app. If you have observed closely, we have to remove the "Left" and "Right" buttons for the second step of the Tour so that your end-user navigates to a different page (Timeline page) by clicking on the link itself.
Following that, we have used a similar pattern to create "Multi-Page Guided Tour 2 & 3" to navigate to the Leads Page and then ended the tour on the Leads page.
Setting The Audience
Once you are done with creating the tours, you can come back to UserIQ App and set the audiences for these Guided Tours before testing them. As you are already aware, any campaign created in your app using the UserIQ Admin Panel (UIQ Bubble) defaults to an audience of Everyone.
First, you would have to configure the audience of the first tour, in our case "Multi-Page Guided Tour 1". I have set it to "Everyone" as we would like to display that to everyone. Once that is done, you would have to make sure the next tour is only displayed to the users that have completed the first tour. To account for that, we have modified the second tour's audience to include users that have completed both the steps (1, 2) from "Multi-Page Guided Tour 1".
Similarly, by repeating this process, you can link any number of Tours.
Once this is done, we can change the status of all the newly created tours to "Preview", and then test this functionality by going to your app, refreshing the browser window.
