Notes synchronization: Salesforce and Hubspot
Why Do We Sync Notes?
Notes around an account contain very important pieces of information. When viewing activity for an account in your CRM, it’s important to be aware of all calls and other communications that have taken place outside of the CRM tool. UserIQ supports Account level notes and if you have an integration with Salesforce or Hubspot these are synched to the Account object in the CRM platform.
Notes and Salesforce
A note created in UserIQ is synced to Salesforce and included on the Note Object in SF. There is no mapping needed so essentially if an inbound sync is configured from SFDC to UserIQ, Notes entered in UserIQ will automatically sync back to SFDC at the time the note is entered. In addition to a note on the Notes Object the user shall see a record created under Activity as well.
The client must have an active Salesforce integration configured for Notes to sync. Navigating to Site Settings, the Integrations tab and then choosing the Salesforce option will take you to the integration setup for Salesforce.
In UserIQ the Account level note can be added on the Account or User view. These can be accessed by choosing the Health menu option and then Accounts or Users. When you drill into an existing Account or User you are defaulted to the Overview tab. The right sidebar is the notes area and where the note is entered. Once the entered the note appears at the bottom of the Overview screen.
In Salesforce on the Account under the Notes and Attachments the Note is displayed as well.
Notes and Hubspot
A note created in UserIQ is synced to Hubspot and included on the Note Object. There is no mapping needed so essentially if a client has an inbound sync configured from Hubspot to UserIQ, Notes entered in UserIQ will automatically sync back to Hubspot at the time the note is entered. In addition to a note on the Notes Object the user shall see a record created under Activity as well. As seen below we have one way sync configured from Hubspot to UserIQ. To configure the Hubspot integration, the user can go to Site Settings under the user avatar and then select the Integrations tab. On the left menu bar choose Hubspot and you will see the screen below.
In UserIQ the Account level note can be added on the Account or User view. Below is an example of adding a note via the Account Overview and how it will display in UserIQ and Hubspot:
The Note appears in Hubspot under Activity and the email tab as the note was a type called Inbound Email:
